Sweater party

Final party of the weekend, The 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Party.

I got in trouble because I didn't think all the girls sweaters were that bad. Apparently, I have no taste for sweaters.

So many great costumes. One of the main questions of the night - what was my sweater made out of?? Woolly Mammoth? Snuffleupagus? I think we got close to the answer when Ben Showed up.

Even though it would have been good enough, these sweaters weren't on just for show! The people voted and honors were won.

We had the ugly sweater pictures from childhood past. Becky aaaaaaand Sarah "won" those.

The Judges determined most creatively dressed of the night were Brooks aaaaaand I can't remember the other person the amazing Bjorn!

Uglies of the night with prizes held high! BenG and I. BenG's sweater had to be knitted onto him I think. For some reason, I didn't feel all that comfortable standing next to a dude wearing a sweater Joanne couldn't fit in. From the looks of it, mine's a little snug to.
As most of the outfits came from Goodwill or Salvation army, it was only fitting that all of the prizes come from there as well. Thank you for all the prep and excitement that you put into the party ladies!!

I'd like to thank my Dad for loaning me one of his favorite sweaters. I promise it was not worn while eating, and everyone only got one free pet, no more. This trophy is dedicated to Matt Goben, the ugliest man I know.

Ironically, I wasn't in the mood for another party after Saturday's, but not only did I stick around long enough to win a prize, they even talked me into the after party. We headed next door to Alyssa's and Rock Band it up!

We got the 80's babes on vocal.

Atef and Benobbs on strings.

Alyssa smacking the drums.

And the cat playing with me.

Don't let Becky's enthusiasm fool you. She stinks at guitar drums. :-)

Great, now I am the worst mother in the world. I dressed Joel up in that "ugliest" sweater about 3 years ago! I thought he was cute in it, but now I will have to put him through therapy when he gets older. Thanks, BenG.

I'm shocked just shocked that you should forget my awesome win with the sweater dress! At least I didn't skin defenseles puppets for my ensemble.

Whoooops. So Kendra, I'm not sure if it was so much the ugliness of the sweater, or the size. Although, Joanne did try it on at Goodwill as an ugly sweater. :-)

Amanda, how could I forget? One problem was that I didn't think your outfit was that bad. I have an idea why, but it would totally insult the middle-aged female following of this blog.

I shudder to think one day my own children may be showing off childhood pictures of Christmas presents I bought and winning prizes for their mom's bad taste! Time to unwrap the gifts and return them ... or just ban pictures, yah, that's the ticket!

Nooo! Banning pictures would put people like me out of a job!!! :-)
