Last day of work was actually really easy. The day went by quickly with the huge list of todos like applying for jobs and unemployment, visiting folks who I wanted to tell about the change to our team and getting information from all the other folks I want to keep in touch with who are leaving as well. My favorite group, Jennifer's old team, is getting the boot next week.
Thursday's stress came not only from how shrewd my supervisor was, being one of the few only giving a day or less notice. But also the fact that Cat employees who were staying couldn't handle looking me in the eye or talking to me. There's no reason for it since we all know what happened, but because of it, it gives you the impression that not only am I getting shafted...but I was going to get beat in the head with a bat on my way out and didn't know it. Eerily familiar. Today was much different though and much appreciated. I am so grateful for all the friends that were made over the last two years who stopped by to talk...and give me candy. :-)
Yesterday and today were both rehearsals for this weekend's concert. It's going to be great, but we are still shaky on some things, and the technical aspect of the show (lights and sound) are getting crunched pretty well also.
I leave you with some pictures.
Dinner time at the rent's. Back off puppy! I called dibs

These guys have lots of cool new toys to play with, and no time to enjoy them.
