Go Crusaders!

First day of vacation - productive...barely. Please bare with me as I begin (or continue) to blog in a boring, meticulous and ME-centered manner in order to help hold myself accountable to being productive in unemployment.

Started a little late, but that's understandable right? It took forever just to get a few emails sent and a short blog post written in the morning.

Pastor Fred called up for some assistance moving the risers we used for Candlelight and Carols this weekend (post coming, I just didn't want to get behind). They were borrowed from my Alma Mater, Peoria Christian High School. Did you know "Alma Mater" means "Nourishing Mother" in Latin? I did not. I mean I do now...anyway....

Fred's got a cheap gas station scoped out. $1.49 at prospect and 150. Big Joe helped out with the second trip.

Kenny G, the old guy who handles maintenance at the school, was not able to help us out, which was a good thing because I totally tore up some of his grass with the truck. Afterward, Joe and I checked out the school for a while. (sigh) Memories. I'm always surprised at some rule or standard that has changed every time I visit. So when I saw all the high schoolers wearing pajamas...I was not surprised. This one, however, was only for a day since it's homecoming week.

Stumbled upon the old Russia team plaques, now expanded to France and Korea trips.

Recognize anyone Storm?
(no seriously, that is Katie right?)

Who we got here?
Josh (he had to point it out, I didn't notice either), Erika and Emily.

Ugh...

Found Joe!!

After that I used the heavy half truck for a personal errand at the rents and found a computer call waiting. Felt kinda like Magyver, fixing a noisy fan with a piece of paper.

Talked to Big Joe about his recruiter and ended up getting an appointment set with her for tomorrow afternoon! Don't get excited...he's been unemployed for six months. I'm hoping he was just more picky than I.

A little dinner with the Jedster and it was off to PDC. We were dancing Salsa Rueda again. A form a Salsa where everyone dances in a circle and changes styles and partners at a caller's discretion. Very easy to learn, which is why I came back. Thanks Duncan for hosting. I think you're garage is going to get voted down until warmer weather comes back :-)

And now applying for jobs on monster.com, jobs.com, and any other site I come across.
