The Bestest

Speaking of best friends. My bestest of best friends, Mike, is in town this week and again later this month. We had the opportunity to do lunch yesterday.

Mike became my closest brother in Christ and an enormous encouragement (NOT distraction) our senior year of high school. He took a liking to our good friend, Holly, and they were engaged a year later. He is now a terrific example of a husband and father. Mike went into the military after graduating, and has been very blessed, but far away, ever since.

All of the pictures I took yesterday of Mike turned out terrible. He must have gotten uglier or something. So you get a brief review of my trip to visit Mike and Holly in Florida last year.

Nate is going to be such a stud.

We chillin'

We dedicated one whole day to me learning to play Axis and Allies.

I know exactly how you feel dude.

I definitely let a few things go on this trip.

I'm sorry for missing your Anniversary dinner Mom and Dad. Happy 30th!

Later in the evening, my discipleship group celebrated/mourned the end of an age at Buffalo Wild Wings. Danny (elder gentleman on the right) has been leading us for the last 19 months and decided to give up and move on to a fresh batch :-) It's been alot of fun, and very encouraging. I would not made it to where I am today if it wasn't for these guys. That's not saying much, but I could be alot worse, trust me. Would whoever defaced Danny's "Friends don't let friends vote Republican" bumper sticker please come forward. We'd like to thank you.
