Banana Milk

Last lunch with Mike :-(

Best bud Mike will be heading back to Florida Thursday. We caught up one last time in person before he moves back here permanently next year, unless I splurge on a plane ticket to Florida this Fall. Tech. Sergeant Manthey will be leaving the Air Force next May to settle in the area and go back to school to be a veterinarian for cute cuddly little puppies.

That's the face of a man who thinks he's out-witted the camera phone....but hasn't.

Back in the jogging saddle

Newcomer to the Tuesday jogging group (I just can't say club) Ben, kept up a healthy pace. I'm gonna have to work on that. Yes, it's another Ben. Coming soon is a stock photo from jogging. Just pretend there is a six foot white guy standing in Andrew's place.

Evening at the Horn-b's

So long Timmy! Tim left for South Korea this morning for another year and a half to teach Engrish to some crazy mad cow protesters. Give Incheon my coldest regards Tim.

Tim and I definitely found a healthy balance between helping out with the task at hand, and enjoying the olympics. Once again, I learned all I needed to know about the olympians from my hosts. This time, Tim and his Mom, Carol. Also learned alot about Korean Politics. And I thought our popularity contests (elections) were bad.

The reason for this outing was to choose pictures and design a poster board to be used at church. We're having a little ministry fair type dealy and need to advertise for our singles group. Our slogan is "We'll have you married off in two years or less". Some people took the advanced tract (Storm).

As a significant portion of the pictures came from my vast collection of mostly fuzzy shots, I kinda felt like I had the fate of everyone's popularity in my hands...but not really. You'll never know how close we were to filling the entire poster board with pictures of just the three of us. A sure way of getting out of any future responsibilities.

Thank you to Carol for introducing me to Banana Milk (pictured right). Another fine way of using up old Bananas.

It took us 2 years and 4 months. I don't think that slogan is accurate. ha. Hope Jed doesn't miss Andrew too much!

...and some people take the special needs tract. :-)

Regarding Jed. Don't tell Andrew, but when we were moving his stuff out the other day, he asked who's name tag was stuck to his bedroom door. Poor Andrew :-(
