Hit The Brakes!

The new camera arrived today. Mom and Dad get theirs back. Thank you for letting me borrow it for so long!

I gave country an inch a few months ago, and it's still creeping in. What's worse, I keep singing Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney songs. Andrew (one of three roomies) is starting to get a little weirded out. Someone please talk some sense into me.

My buddy Storm is being really encouraging in trying to get me to exercise by running races with him. We have three picked out already for the rest of the year. I had to back out of one though. And, technically, I'm still trying to talk myself out of the Urbanathlon. I have enough time to train, but it's still pretty rough.

To get my rea in gear, and lose the 10 pounds I gained since Thailand, I decided to workout today at all costs. Andrew had a great idea. We biked over to Ashley's mom's house where his new (to him) scooter is being stored (safely away from him) and took it for a test drive. Ya, I get the motorcycle crazy people now... It's fun.

It only took us ten minutes and a call to Andrew's fiance to figure out how to turn it on. Thanks Ash...

Andrew and Storm wiped me easily when we went jogging recently. But put Andrew on a bike and he needs an oxygen tank to stay conscious.

Can you tell this camera is going to get WAY overused?

Chris and I accomplished the brake work tonight successfully. The goal?

To make this...

...look like this...

...with these.

I can hear the new ones a little louder than I think I should, but the wobble in my car (major reason for this work) is gone.

Tomorrow is the Olde English Faire. You KNOW you're getting a ton of pictures for that!
