Man Night And Hood Wrestling

This week was a break from the normal co-ed Bible study and an opportunity to spend some time with the guys. After finishing our study on the Song Of Solomon with such a great and dedicated group of guys willing to discuss and learn from God's word, I didn't want to quit spending that time with the guys. Before I could say anything though, it was already decided by them that we would have to get together about once a month. Thanks to Sarah's Bunco night, we had that chance last Thursday.

II Peter hosted and prepared some awesome tacos. Guy's night wouldn't be complete without a convicting video. We watched the first in a series by James McDonald titled "Lord Change My Attitude", starting with the attitude of complaining. Very challenging. Thank you Pete!

The normal crew of men showed up. The novelty of taking pictures all the time may be wearing off a little bit to be honest. All I got was a couple of pictures, including one of this sweet double layer taco.

Last Friday held another get together. This time the quarterly hood potluck. I live in a rather questionable part of town that we call "the nice ghetto", with several other families and bachelors from our church within a few blocks of each other.

Jon and Joy hosted once again, bringing much of the hood and a couple of adopted hoodies together for Pastor Fred's famous chili.

Half of the attendance for hood parties is usually made up by the Deutch family, with their seven children. This one was no different.

Connor loves me.

Oh no you di'ent

Everything's under control. I'm cool, I'm cool.

ummmmmm

ouch

Keely got pretty cocky after taking on any and all challengers with relative ease. Don't worry Jim, I won't tell them who won this one (loser).

Josh and I were officially bestowed the title of "Uncle" by Maddison.

UUUUUP!

DOWWWWWWWWN!

Two of my favorite creatures. Jon's beard, and SusieQ.

On the way home, Madison and Molly took care of the duty to fulfill. It is still unknown how they entered Jed and Julie's house...
