Last To Go

Chris and Jerelyn's big day is almost here. To celebrate with Chris, the 2006-2008 roomies (still in the area) had a man night. Meat 'n Potatoes baby!

I've never gone for a big steak at Alexander's before. To make sure Chris didn't go light on us (that's my excuse) I picked something a little beefier than usual. There were still a couple larger than what we got, but we all went for a hefty 18oz. Teriyaki Top Sirloin.

Glorious, isn't it?

It's hard to pick favorites when you didn't have a bad experience with any of your past roommates, and got alot out of all of them. I'd have to say that the overall experience with Chris, Jed and Andrew was the best that I had though. They are some of the most generous, sincere and thoughtful guys I know. Thoughtful doesn't mean you think of everything ahead of time (otherwise Jed would be out), but I mean that they tried to be conscious of the needs or comfort of the people around them at home, as (I hope) I do. If you've ever lived with multiple people who go to bed and get up at completely different times, you'll know what I mean. I'd say exactly the same things about Rodney and Michael, except I had the added benefit of having both these roomie's fiances around all the time. I do remember one time in February, though, where it really annoyed me. My childish reaction was punished swiftly.

These guys were not just an example of mature easy-going men, but Christ-like examples who spurred me on several ways. Jed especially doesn't hold back punches when it comes to pointing out and challenging things in your life, and they are welcome. Chris has sadly moved away far enough that we probably won't be seeing each other very much, but Jed is just next door and continues to this day to be iron to sharpen me on.

Standing around a grill and eating good food was the perfect way to remember our enjoyable roomie experience. Thank you Chris!!
