Another drive into the city. I enjoy driving/walking through big cities. This weekend was really getting me fired up for the NYC environment. Only two weeks away!

Visited The Moody Church. That's right, a church run entirely by women....ZING (writing that one down too).

The church was beautiful. Built in the 1800's, so Sarah says. Sarah was our Chicago tour guide this weekend. She knows the city better than BenG, and he grew up in the area!!

Another FABULOUS lunch prepared by Becky. Thank you for being such a wonderful host of someonelse's house! :-)

BenG made oven-baked s'mores again with our gourmet chocolate.

Weeee

Becky sad... Goodbye Becky!! Don't feel too bad for her. She has friends coming up to see her again for the next two weekends apparently!! :-)

I'm usually very serious about not being gone for church over the weekends, unless it is important or unavoidable. When I flew to Florida to hang out with my best friend from High School last year, I flew out Wednesday afternoon and back again Saturday, to make sure I would be back Sunday. Made an exception this week because I didn't want to make everyone come back, and we were planning on going to a good church on Sunday morning. Not only was the service excellent, but we then had a wonderful feast later on at Bethany, after we got back.

I ended up participating in TWO communion services today, and getting to sing my three favorite hymns. Amazing Grace, Be Still My Soul, and It is Well, as well as fellowshiping with a friends and people I get the honor of STARTING to know better at these feasts.

The little one is Kaitlyn. She is in the process of steeling bread for me from another table at the feast. Very helpful...and VERY cute.

Josh was...interesting tonight. If anyone needs a babysitter, I'll give you his number.

I know I shouldn't have laughed ... but the Moody Church comment was funny! Thanks for having a birthday so we could get treats after the game.

So much for being a good tour guide...I verified later that Moody Church was built in the 1920's...wrong piece of info!
