Too Many Pictures To Post Part 2

GAA! My laziness is keeping up very well with my interest in communicating with you. The thought of so many pictures to explain is daunting. I should have posted them on Picasa. Did you know you can put captions in the pics on picasa? It's super cool.

Once again, Saturday started with a friendly breakfast.

Pastor Daniel kicked off the morning session with more games...of death. Starting with a musical chairs-ish game where one person in the middle calls out a true/false statement (i.e. I'm wearing sandals). Everyone who is wearing sandals must move out of their chair, and find a new one. I stumbled upon a shady way of keeping ahead in the game, and tried to use it sparingly. Noticed others did as well.

Next game was just everyone holding hands and saying nice things to the person next to you. Okay not really. Flying Dutchman...of death. It's basically Duck Duck Goose in pairs. A pair holding hands walks around the circle and pics another pair to run...in the opposite direction. Whichever pair reaches the empty spot gets it. You are guaranteed a close encounter with the other pair with the whole opposite directional run thing goin' on. I made the mistake of picking to run against someone bigger than I.

Daniel came back to the podium to teach on Hosea, partially through James 4. I say partially because it wasn't the purpose of the weekend, but it's one of his favorite lesson excerpts, and mine too, since it's meant so much in application to my life in the past. James talks about why we do what we do. At the conference where Daniel learned this message, the pastor opened up with the statement "We do what we do because we want what we want". As we learned from James, our heart is filled with things we want, weather they be intrinsically good things or bad. Our actions will show clearly if those things are following God's will and seeing it done, or things we put ahead of a life purchased by Him (be they good things or bad mind you). I hope sincerely that if you see me putting my joy over that of others, or having no joy in loving others who give nothing in return, that you will take that x-ray of my heart and remind me of who I'm living for, and what life I could live with loving God and loving others more than myself as my joy and contentment.

AAAAAnd I need to shut up and post or else it'll be another three days till it gets out.
