Storm has done an excellent job keeping me motivated to jog on Tuesdays. When we were starting out, I preferred the simple flat riverfront, but intended to get back to other paths such as the Farmadale trails across the river. We finally got back to the trails this week.
What Storm wants you to think - "I could totally take out that bee in my jeep, but I'm not in a hurry. He can chill for a while"
My ex-roomate and now married man, Jed, is a health nut of sorts. From the dangers of hydrogenated oils, to the miraculous benefits of fresh milk from the farm, he's got an opinion about it all.
When he offered to start supplying us with fresh milk from a farm just miles from where he grew up, I said why not?! For several months it has pretty much been the only milk I drink. Think of vitamin D milk with a little more cream and not quite as sweet. Chris, the other roommate who used to be a dairy farmer, swears that they don't add sugar to milk. Honestly, there is something that makes processed milk sweeter. Maybe Jed knows what it is :-)
Contrary to Jerelyn's complaints, this milk is NOT chunky!! You do have to shake it in the morning though to mix up the 1/2 - 1 inch of creme on the surface (or not). Because it has not been pasteurized at all (yes you CAN buy unpasteurized milk!) it only lasts about 7 days but you will know immediately if it has gone bad. No guessing.

The whole reason for this milky rant is because Jed finally took me to the place where he gets the milk. He is on his honeymoon as we speak, and could use some fresh milk when he gets back. Also, we're going to spread the cost of driving by alternating milk duties each week. The milk is cheaper than from the store, but costs slightly more in the end when you factor in the driving. We go through two gallons each per week if you were wondering. Drink your cow milk!!
(for those concerned about the health of drinking unpasteurized milk, I defer all questions to Jed, who promises to post an article on the subject in the near future.)

The bee was scary. Very scary.
That's a sweet looking jeep, btw... probably even cooler now that it has new shoes.
