It's A Maaaaad House!

So my buddy Andrew recently graduated Indiana with a masters in some geeky IT degree. He will be staying at our house for the summer. We're excited to have him around. I love having someone to carpool with every day. This has made things at the house a little interesting though. I recently described it as "Kevin's boarding house for nearly married men". Nearly marrieds are guys who are engaged (Andrew), act engaged, or people are taking bets on when they will be (Chris and Jed....not to each other), and it does not include their landlord. This means we have four guy's worth of stuff in the house. At times it feels like I have six roommates, but that's okay. I love them all. Even when Julie throws away my book because she thinks it's worthless as poop. It is, but I'm going to finish it anyway!!!

With four guys in the house, almost every room looks like an explosion has occurred....except Jed's. Yes, I said Jed's room is clean. This is a new and strange concept for all of us. Kinda like the Saturday Chris slept in and Jed got up early.

Jed's room...seriously

I got to play with Treyven yesterday! Congratulations to Steve's Softball team who won their first game of the season. So did both Kari R. and Joey's teams on Monday. The nice thing about having Steve and Elise on the team (besides their mean softball skills) is that someone has to watch Trey. It's a heavy burden, but I'm willing to suffer and help out whenever Helen is willing to give him up. Let me know if you want a copy of the softball schedule for the summer.

Last night was weekly small group time for some of us guys. I didn't know most of them before we started a year and a half ago. Now I feel so lucky to be able to spend time and grow with them in our knowledge and walk with the Lord. The "elder fellow" is Danny, our fearless leader. Joe, sorry, your picture didn't make it because you were slouching.

Tomorrow we'll talk about the geese who stare at me on my walks around the building at work. C-ya

For historicity sake, I must inform you that Andrew does not in fact sleep on the hammock. That is Jed's abode. Andrew gets Jed's bed for the summer. However, when Jed's gone, Andrew sneaks into the hammock and dreams of what it about be like were Jed around. "Oh Jed. If you were here, you'd be asking me if I wanted some unpasteurized milk right now. It's as good as fish oil you know."
